Recon Test Equipment Inc’s new website has been launched. Their new site showcases over 4500 products where visitors can request instant quotes on products and download pdf specifications. The web site was built on the zencart core and customized to include a want-list mailing system that contacts over 800 vendors and records the responses they give. This system was built into the zencart admin section using modifications of the zencart newsletter mailer along with a way to display and filter all of the recorded responses.

The main functionality of the site was to display products offered by Recon Test and to provide perspective customers with an accurate quote for their requirements. I took the zencart product template and modified it so that each product page would have a quick quote form right next to the product description using the core zen mail function. The idea was to lessen the amount of clicks for the customer to get their quote information.
